Library

Our new school Library has opened last year, and students and staff are enjoying all it has to offer. The Library is a beautiful large working space with books and resources easily accessible, computers available for class and individual use and an electronic whiteboard to engage students and inspire their minds.Students have a library lesson once a week. Reading for pleasure is encouraged and valued, and students borrow books each week to take home and use in their classroom. Students also explore the Information Skills process and apply those skills to investigate the world around them.

Students must use a library bag to borrow books, and they are encouraged to borrow regularly. Students cannot borrow if they have overdue books, and may be asked to pay for books that are lost. The Book Fair was held again last year and was another outstanding success! The library looked fantastic and many students came to enjoy the atmosphere and buy their favourite books. As a result, the school received a large number of books to go into our library collection. A big thank you to all those who participated and supported the Fair. Our next Book Fair will be held in May 2011. Books can be viewed from the 17th May, with buying Day on Tuesday 24May.
